Senior Process Engineer (Southwest) (Engineering)

The Sr. Process Engineer will be responsible for providing process design, project management, and other technical support assignments in the refinery This position is ideally suited for the professional who desires to leverage their experience and engineering knowledge and direct their career towards broader business challenges. 

Responsibilities 
• Serve as quality leader during the preparation of PFD, mass and energy balances, P&ID, generation of technical calculations for sizing of equipment, generation of specifications and datasheets. 
• As needed participate in customer HAZOP and PHA studies. 
• Review and approve PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets initiated by other engineers. 
• Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers. 
• Take technical lead in major technical decision making. Share lessons learned and documentation to train those with less experience. 
• Staying abreast of technical literature and attending technical conferences.

Qualifications Required
• Must hold a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering. 
• Minimum 5 years experience in Process Engineering. 
• Eight (8) or more years in the refining or petrochemical industries. 
• Knowledge of process simulation. . 
• Ability to understand and communicate project specifications/datasheets, PFD, P&ID, etc. 
• Proficiency in software tools, including process simulation, MS Excel, Word, etc.
