Super Major that has found and produced oil and gas for over a century across the world, currently produce 3.3 million BoPD and have interests in upstream activities in more than 39 countries is recruiting a Senior Geophysicist to be based in Assen, The Netherlands
This Operator topped the Fortune 500 list of largest companies in the world and is involved in all sectors of the oil and gas industry including: exploration and production, refining and petrochemicals.
As a Senior Geophysicist with this Operator you would be accountable for:
• Forward seismic modeling
• Amplitude analysis including AVO (Amplitude Versus Offset)
• Seismic inversion for reservoir properties
• 3D and 4D close the loop
• Peer assisting the work of other geophysicists in the geophysics teams
• Co-operating with joint venture partners to specify or monitor projects
• Coaching other team members as and when required
Requirements:
• As an ideal candidate you should preferably hold a degree in geophysicist or any equivalent education with extensive relevant professional experience within Oil & Gas industry.
The ideal applicant will have:
• Substantial recent hands-on experience in reservoir geophysical techniques
• Seismic-to-well matching including well log preparation
• Forward modeling AVO (Amplitude Versus Offset)
• Amplitude analysis
• Seismic inversion
• Seismic Close the loop (3D and 4D)
• Time lapse seismic
• A working understanding of seismic interpretation, static reservoir modeling, geology, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, information integrity
• Good communication skills extending to virtual collaboration
• Proven experience in project management and capability to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in time will be highly valued.
