Currently we are recruiting for;

FINANCE DIRECTOR  

The Finance Director has responsibility for working with the regional operations leadership team to drive financial performance across the region and support the drive to efficiency within the finance organization, whilst maintaining a strong business partnership.  This role reports directly to the Oil and Gas CFO.  The Position has responsibility for the operational finance team within the region and will provide leadership for accounting operations including Project Accounting and Working Capital management. The incumbent will work closely with FP&A, Controllership and Finance Shared Services teams. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Finance Leadership: Responsible for key accountabilities including the monthly close process, business analysis and report out to Executives, and the management and driving of the working capital for the region.
  • Management of Business Risks: This role will be intimately familiar with the operation of the business and with the economic commercial environment of the region and will keep the senior management informed on the issues facing the business while anticipating and preventing unexpected situations.
  • Playing a “Hands-on” Role & Ensuring Strong Collaboration: Will be sufficiently agile to operate as leader while also getting involved in the details of the work. You will be expected to take a proactive approach in helping the business to solve problems.
  • Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Working in collaboration with operational stakeholders and FP&A, this role will be responsible for developing strategic plan commitments for the region, providing input into budgets and managing forecasting processes.
  • Operational Finance Management: The role will be responsible for accounting operations within the region, including but not limited to ensuring that revenue recognition is completed in accordance with Company policies, accurate preparation of estimates at completion (EAC); co-ordinate responses to client audit requests; and review significant project results and variances with the Operational Finance Team.
  • Working Capital Management: Responsibility for driving working capital management and reporting, through the achievement of cash flow objectives, engage in capital expenditures and seek to find cost effective solutions, to ultimately instill a culture of cash.
  • Application of Sound Commercial Judgment: The role will need to apply commercial and financial acumen to ensure that the correct controls and processes are in place to enable contract profitability and healthy cash flow.  They will be expected to have an involvement in the bid and pricing strategies and support the business to ensure we have a sound approach to working capital in the bid process.
  • People Management:  The role has a team to manage, motivate, coach and develop ensuring we support the team to achieve their goals, develop succession plans and deliver a first class finance function.
  • Change Management:  The role will be instrumental in supporting Oil & Gas in driving through the systems, structures and control improvements and efficiencies within the region.
  • Strategic Initiatives: The role will play a key role in developing strategic initiatives for the region working with the Regional Operational Leadership including but not limited to assistance in the analysis, due diligence and review of Operational footprint, acquisitions or changes to the product delivery models for the region. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding the Business: Knows the business and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed to do the job; understands various types of business propositions and understands how businesses operate in general; learns new methods and technologies easily.
  • Action and Outcome Orientated: Approaches the role with drive and energy with an eye on the bottom line; not afraid to initiate action before all the facts are known; drives to finish everything they start.
  • Highly Organized: Is well organized, resourceful, and planful; effective and efficient at coordinating multiple resources to get things done; can work on multiple tasks at once without losing track; foresees and plans around obstacles.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred along with a recognized finance professional qualification is a requirement e.g. CPA.
  • Demonstrated experience (10 years’ experience; the last 3 in a senior position) including management of large teams.
