Job Overview:

The position holder will be responsible for advancing technology and improving current completion practices in the company's Eagle Ford assets.  The position holder will be part of an integrated team and will work closely with the subsurface disciplines to integrate relevant subsurface data into post well completion performance evaluations.  They will also work directly with the operating components to identify and implement changes to the completion program in an effort to improve well outcomes and optimize costs.   The applicant must be a motivated problem solver with strong technical skills and an ability to relate to field and operations personnel.

Responsibilities:

1.  Conduct post completion evaluations of key wells to identify areas for improvement and to isolate completion variables from geologic drivers.   This will require both analytical evaluation of specific jobs and bigger picture integration of geology and petrophysics.

2.  Evaluate the entire drilling and completion lifecycle for optimization opportunities.  The company anticipates a substantial and ongoing drilling program in the Eagle Ford so periodic re-evaluation of practices will be necessary.

3.  Design, implement and evaluate field trials aimed at modifications to existing completion designs and / or technical advances.

4.   Maintain beneficial relationships with service company partners and industry peers to stay abreast of new developments in stimulation and completion technologies.  Identify those technologies that warrant testing and development within the company.

Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelors required, advanced degrees a plus

Major Discipline:  Petroleum Engineering or a related field

Years Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience.  

Work Experience: Direct experience with unconventional reservoir completion design, execution and post job analysis is required. Areas of exposure should include work on tubular and tool design, perforating, stimulation and artificial lift.  Exposure to reservoir, drilling and production engineering, project management and economic evaluation is preferred.
